Now Honda has a fabulous reputation for providing, safe, efficient and reliable cars. In fact, they are recognised by many as being the best provider of efficient cars in the whole industry. Whilst this is obviously down to personal opinion and choice, there wouldn’t be many that argued otherwise. The fact is they do make very good cars and have had some classic models over the years such as the Civic, Type-R and the S2000. My favourite of all time though was the Honda CRX. When I was growing up that was the one car that I said I would buy if when I had the money. It’s funny because now I look at it in its used format and think it is quite an ugly car! Obviously times have changed as has technology and so cars that were once the best of their era are no longer in the same league, which is more than understandable given the nature of the car industry and the automotive business. New designs are being introduced on an almost constant basis, which is probably why the used cars industry is constantly busy with potential buyers – even under the circumstances we find ourselves in currently with the markets what they are. Funnily enough I was at my local Honda dealership only yesterday looking at the new style Civic Type-R. It was the first time that I had seen one in the showroom and I must admit I am only now getting used to the tail lights at the rear of the vehicle. One of my most recent favourites in the Honda range was indeed the older version of the Type-R and so when drastic changed were made to the design of the car for the newer version, I was a bit sceptical to say the least. However, in time it seems to have grown on me and even though I don’t hold it in the same esteem as its predecessor, I think that it is a very good looking vehicle and one that I could see myself in at some point. However, like everyone else, I think I will keep my purse strings tightened a little while longer and see how things pan out with the banks. Maybe I will pay a visit in the New Year….
