Van Window Tinting

Posted on | September 1, 2009 |

So why do people get have their van windows tinted? Well for starters it provides a bit more privacy and also acts as a security feature against thieves. For example, certain used vans due to the nature of what they are used for often carry expensive equipment such as power tools. Due to them being worth a lot of money, should the van have tinted windows, passers-by are less likely to notice them in the vehicle. Now most people either remove valuable items from the van altogether or lock them up in the back of the van but sometimes, through no fault of their own, people do forget and so having window tints could prove to be a little life saver during these forgetful moments. What a thief cannot see – he/she cannot steal. It’s as simple as that. Not only is it simple but it is also important given the nature of vehicle crime here in the UK. Call it an extra added security measure if you will. Another advantage of having vans tinted is that it provides a safer environment from the sun as the suns glare is reduced. This becomes especially valuable on long road trips. In terms of other safety features, window tints also help in the event of a crash in that shattered glass becomes less fragile and therefore it doesn’t escape into every nook and cranny in the van. One thing to watch out for when entertaining the idea of kitting your van out with window tints is the amount of sharks out there that offer a poor service but charge large sums of money. There seems to be a lot of these people knocking around advertising tints for vans but not all of them are reliable. This is going off personal past experiences and those of other van drivers.
